If you go to the store page there is a button at the top of the screen labelled as 'Points Shop'. It's next to the browse button at the top of the store page. For a few minutes, that was a meaningless number on my Steam account, the quantity of points I have to spend on stickers and backgrounds in Valve's new Points Shop.

Unlike other item that are permanent, the only disadvantage with the Summer Golden Profile is that it will not last a lifetime. You can only enjoy the beauty of your profile for 30 days and after that it will gone forever.

You can also purchase other cool permanent Avatar Frame for your profile like for example the Portal Orange.

You can also change your Steam Avatar Frame by going to Edit Profile > Avatar.

From here, there is new tabs for Avatar Frames, and you can select the frame that you’d like.

Valve’s Steam Summer Sale is an annual event that brings plenty of offers on the majority of titles available. Steam Summer Sale kicked off yesterday, June 25, and will last up until July 9. In addition to the discounts Valve also introduced the Points Shop. This year Valve introduced a new permanent addition to Steam called the Points Shop. Unlike the Steam Summer Sale which takes place June 25 to July 9, the Points Shop won’t be going away. A new Steam rewards program that just launched lets players obtain Steam profile items and backgrounds using points earned by purchasing games. Some of these can turn your profile into an ugly mess. Valve has also launched a new rewards shop that offers players various items they can obtain using points earned from purchasing games on Steam. For example, you can now buy a chill and serene background of a lake house for your Steam profile. You will be able to use your points to customize your Steam presence or award fellow members of the community. You will get 132 points for every ₹ 100 you spend. Buy any game, DLC, hardware, application, soundtrack, or in-game item, and get points.

• How do I get Steam Points?

Whenever you purchase on Steam, you'll be given Steam Points based on how much you spend. You will not receive any points for funding your Steam Wallet or for any Steam Community Market purchases. In addition to collecting and crafting cards, the Points program now offers another, more direct, way to acquire these emoticons and backgrounds.

• What will happen to Steam Trading Cards? Will they go away?

They don't have any plans to remove them at this time.

• How do the Summer Road Trip Badge and Summer Sale trading cards work?
